Toronto Owls

After a very long hike, we found our owls last Sunday in Toronto! Thanks to VERY helpful birders and birding photographers on the Leslie Street Spit/Tommy Thompson Park we located our a first of two Saw-whet Owls.
Our first encounter though was that of an American Kestrel in good light. This little falcon was hunting and didn’t mind being photographed.

Hiking out further onto the Leslie Street Spit/Tommy Thompson Park we had found the Barred Owl (with the help of an other photographer, thanks!), a magnificent bird of prey!
